Evergreen Inclusive Services Inc. is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and motivated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our growing multidisciplinary team.

We provide trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and person-centered community support services for individuals with developmental disabilities, behavioral needs, mental health challenges, and complex support needs.

 

About the Role

The Occupational Therapist will work directly with children, youth, adults, and families in home, school, workplace, and community settings to provide assessments, interventions, and individualized support strategies that promote independence and overall well-being.

This position offers flexibility, meaningful community impact, and opportunities to collaborate with families, caregivers, schools, FSCD/PDD teams, healthcare professionals, and support staff.

 

Key Responsibilities

Conduct occupational therapy assessments
Develop individualized treatment and support plans
Support sensory, emotional, behavioral, and functional regulation

Assist clients with:

  • Daily living skills

  • School readiness

  • Emotional regulation

  • Fine motor development

  • Independent living skills

  • Community participation

  • Employment readiness

Provide coaching and education to families and caregivers
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and community agencies
Complete clinical documentation and progress reports
Support children, youth, adults, and seniors with diverse support needs

 

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy

  • Registration in good standing with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists

  • Professional liability insurance

  • Experience working with:

    • Children and youth

    • Adults with complex needs

    • Developmental disabilities

    • Mental health and behavioral supports

    • Trauma-informed care

    • FSCD/PDD populations

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License preferred

 

Required Certifications:

  • Criminal Record Check

  • Vulnerable Sector Check

  • Child Intervention Check

  • First Aid/CPR Certification

 

Preferred Experience

  • Community outreach or home-based support experience

  • Knowledge of sensory integration strategies

  • Experience supporting Indigenous families and culturally diverse communities

  • Familiarity with Alberta systems including FSCD, PDD, Children’s Services, and AHS

Position Summary

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our growing team. The SLP will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication and swallowing disorders across a diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans

  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, and interdisciplinary teams

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation and progress reports

  • Provide consultation and training to staff and families as needed

  • Participate in team meetings and case conferences

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology

  • Registration and good standing with College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Alberta (CASLPA) or provincial equivalent.

  • Minimum one years of clinical experience preferred

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

  • Experience with AAC, autism spectrum disorders, developmental delays is an asset

  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle

  • Criminal record check and Child intervention Record Check

The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to help implement individualized therapy plans, support communication development, and document client progress.

  • Assist in the delivery of speech and language therapy programs developed by the supervising SLP

  • Work directly with clients in one-on-one or small group settings

  • Monitor and document client progress and report observations to the SLP

  • Support communication goals using visual aids, speech tools, and interactive activities

  • Prepare materials and maintain a positive therapeutic environment

  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other support staff to promote consistent strategies

  • Follow all confidentiality and health & safety guidelines

Qualifications:

  • Speech Language Pathologist Assistant diploma or equivalent training

  • Experience working with children, youth, or adults with developmental delays or communication challenges

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Reliable, organized, and able to work independently and as part of a team

  • Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening

  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle (preferred)
